Inside Ursula Hitler's Head 13: Little Miss Meany, pt. 2

When I started making these cartoons, I deliberately broke a lot of my own "rules" about how to make good art. Normally I'd avoid any references to ephemeral pop culture things, because that stuff can really date badly. But with Inside Ursula Hitler's Head, I decided not to give a damn about making something "good," and just have some freaking fun. I was gonna try to be really punk rock about the whole thing, just poop it out, don't worry about it, and move on to the next one. (That's how I write these posts, too. My typos aren't lazy! They're punk!)

Here we have a cameo from Zac Efron of all people, January of '09's teen idol of the moment. Maybe it seems like I'm indulging some weird Zac crush here, but I honestly couldn't care less about the guy. This was another instance of me looking at the pre-made characters that Xtranormal had to offer, noticing something I thought was funny ("Hey, he kinda looks like Zac Efron!") and building a whole stupid cartoon around it. You know how kids will play with everything in their toybox and mash it all together into one crazy narrative, so their Chewbacca becomes a wolfman and Barbie becomes the pirate queen and a few sticky nickels become the fabled Jewels of Roratorba? That's kind of how Xtranormal works for me.
